This is an English Chippendale bed we expanded to king size from it's original size of forty two inches by seventy inches. The lighter colored areas are the additions. We extended the side rails and made a new foot rail. New panels were added to the headboard. An entirely new tester was made, including all new handmade blind fret work to match the existing. The tester is in three pieces for moving and is finished flat on the inside surface to accept a fabric ceiling. This is a spectacular piece of furniture!
